ROUSE:
Resource-efficient secure structures
ROUSE is a European H2020 project that explores the mechanics of impact through a multidisciplinary investigation on dynamic fragmentation and mechanical spallation, using additive manufactured metallic materials. ROUSE addresses several societal challenges concerning the compromise of reducing cost and energy consumption, that have led the aerospace, civilian-security, or automotive sectors, to invest on the design of lightweight and resource-efficient structural components, without compromising safety.
